Sirup Zagreb The word “SYRUP” comes from the Arabic “sharab”, meaning beverage, making it a logical choice for a nightclub name, but besides beverage, our Sirup is also a tag to underground, house, techno, disco, groove, bass, fashion, art, dance, laugh, cool, stilettos, fur, glitter, bleach, cargos, love, hip, gay, lesbian, independent and many more… Since it’s INCARNATION, on New Year’s eve 2008/2009 Sirup established a special connection with the crowd and the performers and now, only in a few years it seems like there was no time pre-Sirup, not just because of the numerous music act brought to Croatia for the first time like Jamie Jones, Ivan Smagghe, Roman Flugel, Kassem Mosse, Move D, Luke Solomon, Tim Paris, Motor City Drum Ensemble or others already beloved by Cro-partygoers like Terry Francis, Mr C, Pascal FEOS, Luke Slater or Andrew Weatherall, but also for the cousy milieu Sirup provides. With the basement lookalike and quite dark main floor and the intimate loft, Sirup gives you the perfect combo of an extreme clubbing device and a cool chilling salon… Being a local PIONEER in many aspects of modern, underground dance music, this is what defines the club mainly, but not completely, cause Sirup’s tendencies towards fashion, art and education make a momentous part of our activities also. With numerous fashion shows, performances, monthly exhibitions and video acts, we tend to promote local artists and designers and with various music courses we inititate young creatives in their first production steps.
