Färgfabriken's exhibitions frequently garner international attention and praise. It is some measure of this that Art Forum, the respected New York art journal, has named exhibitions at Färgfabriken as one of the year's ten best in 2003 and 2004.
But Färgfabriken is something more: a vigorous contemporary voice.
Färgfabriken asks the questions and launches the studies that neither politicians, businesses nor media are able to, because that's the way things have become.
Färgfabriken creates encounters, contacts and dialogue between those who would not otherwise speak to each other, except from opposite sides of a negotiation.
Färgfabriken is a builder of knowledge, running courses together with such partners as Sweden's Royal Institute of Technology. But we are not satisfied to let knowledge remain behind the high walls ofacademia – instead we try to apply it and to bring it into dialogue with other parts ofsociety.
