This May sees the arrival of a unique new addition to Liverpool’s social scene in the form of The Shipping Forecast, an 850 capacity music venue and bar on Slater Street, which will open its doors on 19 May 2010.
Bringing together an eclectic array of Liverpool’s creative best, as well as presenting an impressive roster of some of the UK’s most talked about new bands and edgy DJs, The Shipping Forecast promises to be an exciting new offer for Liverpool’s already thriving social and live music circuit, and has been developed by the creative team behind modern institution The Lock Tavern in Camden, London.
Featuring a wide and irregular array of live music events, DJ nights, and everything in between – from day time record fairs and vintage clothing swaps, to pub quizzes, tasty home-cooked food and a huge selection of drinks - The Shipping Forecast will be a pioneering social space where art meets music, and pub meets club, all under the one roof.
