Welcome to the world we call de Rechter. This club is one of the hotspots in the city of lights. The building this judge resides in was an actual courthouse in the last century which makes the atmosphere nostalgic and laid back. De Rechter is known for the diversity in the music it presents. The 3 different areas satisfy everyones taste. In the biggest area, De Grote Zaal, you can go all out on a mix of club and dance. The Rechtzaal offers a blend of eclectic funk, disco, dance and hip-hop. Catch your breath in the Rechtscafe where you can expect any kind of music while resting your feet. The cherry on the cake is the beautiful courtyard where you can draw in some fresh air and have an actual conversation in between dance sessions. De Rechter presents all the hot dj's, domestic as well as foreign. Resident dj's include Benny Rodrigues, Prinz, Victor Coral, Smith Davis, Dirk Dali, Thomson & Niles and Erik E. But Laidback Luke, Marcella, Layo & Bushwacka, Pat Cue, Dr. Lektroluv, Miss Yeti, Joost van Bellen, Eric the Man, Pako & Frederik and Michel de Hey also honor this club with their presence on a regular basis. Besides these masters, many talented, up and coming local dj's are also given a chance to show their goods every week. But there's more. Besides the music, de Rechter offers room for theater, expositions by young artists, not to mention the spectacular projections by the vj's they are becoming famous for. The Rechter-audience is as diverse as the music they present. Besides the regulars, people from all over the country flock here to be part of the Club Risk nights or to see their favorite dj play. We don't know if it's the court that is intimidating, but this place seems to keep al the wrong people out, while attracting the right!
