The Raw Temple is a non-profit community organization which at this time has approximately 100 members and 65 projects. Its primary aim is to offer reasonably priced social and cutural events and activites. The projects include:
-All types of visual and performance art
(such as sculpture, painting, acrobatics, music and theater.)
-Artistic handwork
(such as photography, musical instrument building, ceramics, wood and metalwork)
-Exhibitons, Music Production, Performance
(such as “RAWART Gallery”, professional sound studios, events management,
Children´s Circus “Zack”.
-Social Programs
-A broad range of courses are also offered.
The association is located in the attractive area of Berlin-Friedrichshain. It is part of a former railway maintenance yard, the Reichsbahn Ausbesserungs Werk Franz Stenzer. The association uses four buildings on an area of 8.800 m2. Since 1998 we have been renovating these structures with an effort to preserve the period style thereby participating in valuable architectural preservation. They are now used by artists for cultural purposes and for company foundations and especially for social goals. There is also the possibility for young criminal people
In addition to two large events halls, the members and guests also have two smaller meeting points at their disposal. Welcome to RAW-tempel!
