Based on Great Eastern Street in the heart of Shoreditch, east London, East Village is a small, two-floored club that first opened its doors in 2008. Most of the weekly international guest DJs are hosted in the club's basement, a darkened and simple space with a bar and a solid soundsystem. East Village has featured a high volume of external promoters down the years (Prologue has probably been the most famous example), who have mainly brought house and techno to the club, although drum & bass, dubstep, electro and hip-hop could all conceivably be heard there.
