We have one of these nifty pieces of hardware we'd like to send your way.
The OP1 is a portable synthesiser, controller and sampler from Swedish company Teenage Engineering. Available since last year, this unique piece of hardware was inspired by the Casio VL-1 series that entered the market in the 1980s, and has since garnered a cult-like following amongst musicians and collectors alike. The OP1 functions as a four-track tape recorder, which means that users will be producing in a method in line with the way much of the earliest electronic music and hip-hop was recorded.
We have one Teenage Engineering OP1 to give away. One lucky RA reader will nab one of these fine pieces of equipment, undoubtedly a quality and quirky addition to any bedroom producer's studio.
