Ariaan (the dj and producer who's been most inspired by his pianist dad) and Peter (the multi instrumentalist and songwriter producer) came together as the 16 Bit Lolitas in 2003.

As you would expect from such ability it didn't take long until their early music found homegrown support via releases on Extrema and Cyber as well as remixes of Sander Kleinenberg's "My Lexicon" and then into international territories with support from Shinichi/Yoshi Toshi and CR2.

Musically they sit like a polished stone between back in the day backroom house with it’s warm but edgy basslines and brand new big room tunes that give the crowd that tingling hands in the air feel that they so desire. Ariaan's dj sets consisting almost exclusively of their own productions, he stands out from the rest of the world’s record changers, by delivering a sound and a set all his own.

They now run their own highly successful label, "Bits and Pieces", dedicated to releasing their own material as well any up and coming artists they come across in their travels.
