Abayomi was born and raised in London before moving to the heart of electronic music, Berlin, to make the city his home and place of residence. A vinyl junkie since his teens, Abayomi has been passionately collecting and DJ’ing since the 90’s after falling in love with the rawness of Hip-Hop. Through digging for rare breaks his mind was quickly opened to other genres of music.
However it wasn’t until he arrived in Germany and was exposed to legendary techno clubs, that he was wholly converted to the minimalist machine funk from Detroit and Chicago. Like connecting the musical dots, finally it all made perfect sense.
