alexander maier was born '74 in stuttgart. As a teenager he worshipped „The Cure“ and „Depeche Mode“. Beside his deejay- and producer-career he works as a project manager & consultant for a internet agency, loves to cook regional and thai food or is yearing for summer to wear his flip flops - he is addicted to them and having them on from may to october.
He loathes all the boulevard media hypes, but likes trash-tv. His fridge always contains a bootle of iced „grey goose“ and serano ham. Before climbing into bed, he always drinks a coke, smokes a fag, goes to toilet, sets the alarm clock on his iphone and feeds his shy cat.
Alexander is spinning records for over 20 years, playing from fresh house to dark detroit-techno, always deep and often spiced with some melancholia. Beside national & international bookings he always appreciates to play in his both residencies „Rocker 33“ and „Romy S.“ in Stuttgart. He’s releasing on labels like Moodmusic, Dieb Audio, Blu Fin (together with Marius Lehnert as almaMale), Buzzin Fly, Exun, and more. Since late 2008 he is part of the Moodmusic Crew.
His EP on Mood „Dark Love“ (2010) played and supported by Richie Hawtin, Claude van Stroke, Chloe, Hot Chip, Osunlade, Motorcitysoul, Sasse, and many more.
Also his release „Sommernachtstraum“ on Dieb Audio has been caused loads of trouble and has been played by Alexi Delano, Phonogenic, Brothers Vibe, Djuma Soundsystem, Marco Bailey, Pig and Dan, Terry Francis, Paco Osuna, Gel Abril, Sasse, Dirt Crew and the likes.
His current Single „Livin in Heslach“ on Moodmusic comes with remixes from Christian Prommer & Alex Barck as well as a fine edit from Sasse and got massive support from Jimpster, Phonique, Damien Lazarus, Trickski, Till von Sein, Alex Niggemann … .
For the upcoming 15 Years Moodmusic Comp. he contributes the excl. Track “Stolen Phone”, which is going to be released in November.
At the moment his Remix for Data Mc “Green Eyes” (Goodman Globe) is on heavy Rotation and already entered #2 in the German Club Charts (DCC) & his work for Migoo “Machine Poetry” (Moodmusic) is buring down the floors all over Europe.
Upcoming some other remixes for labels such Compost, Yellow Tail oder Brown Eyed Boyz Records are going to be released soon.
