Biography of Andrea Porcu

Moniker(s) / Andrea P, Minimo M!, Boredom

An artist very emotional and always update on most types of music broadcast by the national and international scene.
Andrea Porcu (Sardinian - class '89), is one of those artists "do-it-yourself" who has found an outlet for his soul in music, first with the hip-hop, and later with electronics, thanks to the influence of many people who have been part of his life in that period, usually by listening to artists such as Depeche Mode and Trentemøller, and others little known.
His love for electronic music broke out in 2002 with the purchase of new and old records of artists "niche" he start to djing, and after few years, he begin to music production with a not puritan music concept.
Surely it's important to mention the thought of music delivered by Andrea (today), a concept quite extensive, and characterized by changes in sound which found outlet in a softer sound, compared to the compositions published from 2007 to 2008 under various aliases, an open mind toward particular sounds (dark and spiritual), even if narrowly, and a sound based on a electronic concept of dub techno, ambient, deep, detroit techno house mentality, all under the experimental thoughts and emotive.
It's just this last note that the compositions of Andrea, through the sampled sounds from real life, or just deep enough on the meaning of the title of the work, suggests that somehow the message he wants to convey to the listeners (as example, explains the use of long synth melodies with melancholy, or whatever it is sad and emotional), making enough shown his love for the little things that life gives to each person (like poems, paintings, sunsets, animals, seasons, nights, and certainly love).
In the early part of 2008, he founded his record label called "ROHS!", which comes as a challenge with the changing musical occurring within that period, with a concept firmly in place and tight, all concentrated in a big united family of artists.
For early 2009 come out the first physical release of Andrea, published on a new record label from Berlin "The Studio Stereo" in CD limited edition, called "I Can Wait" and mastered entirely by himself and with the addition of various remixes making it even more an compact release, coming to success by the critics, and regarded as "one of the finest dub techno record of the year".
