Andre Wakko "was born in Brazil, the land of colors, anthropogenic processes and rhythms - between music, caipirinha and bananas, He emerge from a indepentent scene in Belo Horizonte - Minas Gerais.

He study music production, generative art and performance, and graduated in design, where He published the first Sound Design project inside the FUMEC University and at the same time He was holding the night club BLACKMAIL, organizing a unique after-hours in the city, where he consolidate his Dj scene in the Town.

Spinning records was never enough, with a project titled ” Sonema “, a mix of the words cinema and “som ” (sound), He ministered workshops in the “favelas” (shantytown), working with local radio artists, proposing sound story tales and sound perception development.

Further, in 2004, received the premium ” Imprevisões” for developing new cultural sound projects by the State of Minas Gerais. And at the same time enjoy for three years in the Circus school, “Spasso” presenting multi-media pieces in festivals all over the country.

In 2006 He was one of the founder of ” Azucrina Records ” (www.azucrina.org), where he was responsable for the project development department, sound department and management, organizing concerts, party’s, music production and sound forensics.

Now he lives in Berlin, developing his own style, mixing cultural backgrounds, in a washing machine, spunning dirty clothes and expensive hi hats. Deeply involve with new research sound field, he is part of the University of the Arts Berlin (UDK), in the department of Art and Media, having classes with Alberto de Campo and Fredrik Olofsson. Also participate in festivals, workshops and symposiums, as TunedCity, Transmediale and XXXXX (www.1010.co.uk/org/), making he own synthesizers, step-sequencers and bass light sensors.

Together with the scientist part, comes the Groove and the Techno.
In 2010 He launch 2 singles with the labels “TonKind” and “Freizeitglauben”, two of the most respectable Berlin underground labels. As B.I.S.C.A.T.E, Andre collaborates with Ricardo Ferreira, producing one brilliant track after another.

You could listen his sets in 2010 in Bar25, Arena, Tacheles, Golden Gate, Rechenzentrum and in underground parties that pumps everyday in Berlin. Sharing the night with Guido Schneider, Dj T, D-Nox, Shonky, Tom Clark, Raz Ohara, Pierre Bucci, Agaric...you named!
