Andrew’s introduction to DJing came at the age of 16 through work experience at the old community radio station, “Rhythm FM” where he watched DJs such as Mark Dynamix, Leah, Damian Goundrie and Jack McCord mix on air and became intrigued by the concept of constructing a DJ set. Since then, Andrew has gone on to achieve highly as a DJ, garnering a reputation for being technically skilled across multiple genres of music and for thoughtful, clever programming.
A lover of a wide range of music, Andrew plays a variety of sounds from across the spectrum of house and techno, drum & bass, dubstep, garage, real electro, non-specific "bass" music and experimental/electronica.
In May 2004 and 2006 he secured 3rd and 1st place respectively in the Sydney University DJ Competition. As a house/techno DJ, he has been invited to support artists/DJs such as Anthony Pappa, James Zabiela, Desyn Masiello, Hybrid, Sven Vath, Dubfire, Steve Lawler, Funk D’Void, Phil Kieran, Rowan Blades, Itch-E & Scratch-E, Vince Watson, Alex Niggemann, Thomas Schumacher, Thomas Muller, Dario Zenker, Worthy, Audion, Oxia, Format: B, Alex Smoke, Arnaud Le Texier, Marc Houle, Gaiser, Slam, Silicone Soul, Fergie, Marco Resmann, Simon Baker, Derrick Carter, Kazu Kimura, Butch, Johnny D, Andrea Bertolini, Kevin Griffiths, Ekkohaus, Luke Le Mans, King Roc, Phil K, and Danny Bonicci. He has also played in Melbourne at the popular Darkbeat and Intermission parties, and was invited to play at the Space Ibiza New Years Day festival in both 2011 and 2012.
His drum & bass/dubstep/garage/bass music sounds have been requested as a warm up for international acts such as LTJ Bukem, George Fitzgerald, Octane & DLR, Kryptic Minds, Ulterior Motive, Black Sun Empire, Klute, Bassnectar, Lee Coombs, Chasing Shadows, B-Complex, Skool Of Thought, Tipper, Rogue Element and Lady Waks.
Andrew has also dipped his toe into production. His first track “Never Satisfied” (co-produced with Mortlock) was signed to Baroque Recordings, included on the “Exploring Australia” compilation, and received a remix by Matt Rowan. He is currently working on more music (both remixes and original works), honing his production skills
