What’s your personal favourite track on it?
There is not only one. Radio Slaves interpretation of Horny, is an outstanding track. I like this piano vibe a lot.
Also the track of Flo Mrdzk & Mahan, which is not released yet, has incredible big balls. And, to be honest, I like Dirty Doerings remix of my release No Changes on Kittball a lot. He did a great job.
What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
First you can burn this mix easily on an audio cd. Secondly I put a hidden track into it. I remebered the former hiphop lp´s, some of them had some hidden and funny songs or phrases. I think with the track from Yoman Yohanson the mix has a smooth and sunny end.
And at least there are with my track "Tief Dekoltiert", Flo & Mahans one and the hidden track of Yoman three still unreleased tracks on it!
What’s the best gig you’ve played recently?
There were a lot of amazing gigs I had, if I had to mention one gig, I would say my gig at Club Deep in Makaskar in Croatia was really special. This club is dope, directly at the sea. After playing I made myself naked and jumped into the sea!
What have you got coming up?
In June I will release a compilation called Ante Perry pres. apetunes vol.2 on Lany Recordings. My friend Maxim Lany and I worked a lot on it. It´s contains 6 tracks of friends of mine and it´s only that I really love.
I also did a remix for a Swedish folksfunk band called Les Motse and for MAxim Lany on Dark Star, an Italian label. There are some other projects I could talk about, but nothing is 100% save.
As a DJ I will play in Romania (I was born there) the first time, again in Croatia, Belgium and so on... I´m ready for the summer!

Following hot on the heels of label boss Sander Kleinenberg’s track Chemically, its time for the return of retro king Kolombo, who recently had an EP on This Is Recordings entitled Passin Me By / Colorball and a collab single with Oliver Klein entitled Espionnage. Now Kolombo teams up with Ante Perry for a track entitled Completely Positive.
In recent times, This Is Recordings has successfully carved a real niche for profiling new and more established artists, the opportunity to deliver cutting edge dance music for worldwide consumption. This time it’s a collaboration between two well respected artists in the scene; Ante Perry & Kolombo. The package has an original mix, an Instrumental version and also a Walker and Royce remix.
ANTE PERRY AND KOLOMBO
Ante Perry is a prolific producer from Germany and has released on labels such as Moonbootique, Systematic and Hertzlich in recent years.
Kolombo has already had a solo track on This Is, releasing Passin' Me By / Color Ball in 2011, a collab with Oliver Klein and also remixed Sander Kleinenberg and Kraak & Smaak’s The Journey.
As a duo, the boys have already worked together on a slew of tracks such as Desperate (Underwater Records, UK), Reaction (Giant Wheel, Germany), Gerry / Tasty (Hertzlich Recs, Germany) and Abataka. Now the boys bring us Completely Positive.
THE SINGLE:
The Completely Positive package comes to us with an Original mix, an Instrumental version and also a Walker and Royce remix.
The Original mix is a bass heavy workout, with the BPMs kept low to get that rounded pumping bass effect in the clubs. The vocal “There’s a new me coming out” slides in and out of the mix effectively. A saw-shaped synth does the business in providing a strong hook, and a floaty break gives respite before the drums return. It’s futuristic space disco – don’t miss this flight!
The Instrumental mix is, as you would expect, very similar to the original, but with the omission of the vocal of course. This makes for a perfect early to mid track, getting the floors in the groove for the night ahead.
The Walker and Royce remix takes things more into retro territory. There is a strong 80s feel to this track, a subtle throbbing disco-ball groove which is reminiscent of an intimate New York club in the heyday of house. A pitched down vocal with the line “I just have to live” filters up into the mix. This has a strong electro feel, and the break arrives, bringing with it a new direction. The rhythm section returns to good effect, with 808 drums bouncing off the walls. A solid remix from this talented NYC duo.

3 stars of Germany’s house and tech scene come together for this mesmerising new release. In the Blue Corner: Ante Perry, an eclectic producer and multi-talented chap who counts some sizable anthems amongst his discography, and releases for the likes of Moonbootique and Systematic amongst them. In the Red Corner: Tube & Berger, the dynamic duo behind Kittball Records and many a hard-grooving tech house release.
The result is something beautifully subdued; a mellow, warm slice of nu disco meets house, laden with gorgeous summery melody and airy textures. It would be as home on a Booka Shade album as it would on a Mylo one, and is drenched with an optimistic, spine-tingling feel. And if you’re after dancefloor solidity, three remixes offer plenty of options.
Hermanez goes for the jackin’ and thumpin’ approach, with techy stabs bouncing over shuffly percussion and plump bass, all filtered into a big room mindset. Future Russian superstar and Popof protégé Max Bett takes the bigroom-techno way and pumps it up for the bigger venues. Rob Mirage strips things back more, giving a light tech backbone to the original’s sumptuous piano chords and avoiding anything over-the-top or heavy-handed. Finally Tube & Berger themselves step in for the final rework, providing a wiggly workout that takes the key elements of the original and puts them through a deep, bouncing groove.

Segueing early bloomers like the wonderfully deep opening tones of Henri Kohn & Miss Ann P‘s ‚The Light‘ (Larse Dub) with sparkling builders like Gorge‘s ‚Parabanda‘ or the rousing remix of Ultra Nate‘s ‚Free‘ by Ramon Tapia & Kabale und Liebe, the mix begins to grow and evolve into free flowing mo- ments of brilliance. Johnny D‘s remix of Osunlade‘s ‚Pride‘ funks and shakes all over the spectrum and Stereofunk‘s epic ‚The Knife‘ charms its way to our hearts. Morning Factory‘s ‚Raw Tunes Vol.1‘ sounds like a true Berlin night-time adventure, leading to Ante closing the mix in fine style with San Soda‘s jazz infused, Chicago jam - ‚Maximum 150 Personen.‘

CD 2 - Unmixed
Breezing through 11 unmixed tracks, including many exclusives pro duced for this album, we are treated to the full range of Ante Perry‘s production and song-writing skills. Ideal for DJs, enthusiasts, or simple those who love to experience every last detail, this second CD comple- tes the package.
The super deep US vibed ‚DO-PE-69‘ opens with lush synth tones and a perfect reduced arrangement that simply oozes class. Moving quickly into party territory ‚Hit The Floor‘ makes its moves on the dancefloor, while Ante‘s collab with Tube & Berger, ‚1234‘, makes it very clear that these talented produces know their game - tense, dirty and overloaded with warped-disco-funk!
In the casually titled ‚God‘s Gift‘ Perry teams up with pal Kolombo in a retro-feel-good synth pop excursion. This is combined with the funk laden grooves of ‚AD EED‘, liquid bass gold melting all over the stereo, and Ante proves his talents for one hell of a jam!
Tube & Berger team up once again with ‚Moltisanti‘, an energetic tech- houser with a modern, rich sound. In September of last year Systematic Recordings brought us the first in a series of remix packages of Spirit Catcher’s fantastic album “Partners In Crime.” With the first strains of summer peaking over the horizon, its now time to unleash Part Two of the exclusive “Vinyl Edition” remix series.
