Now based in Yokohama, Japan, BD1982, aka Brian Durr, has previously lived in New Jersey, Philadelphia, Queens and Kyoto. His sound draws on a constantly evolving palette of influences, ranging from Jamaican dancehall and UK grime on to 12-bit hip hop productions and Italo-horror soundtracks.

BD1982 has previously remixed or collaborated with artists such as Kotchy, 77Klash, Kaiser, 100mado, Mochipet, Planet Soap, Smokey & Casper, Xlii and Matt B. Some of the labels that have released his music in the past, or plan to in the future, include Slit Jockey, Car Crash Set, Civil Music, Vermin Street, Record Label Records, Plynt Records, Made In Glitch, B.Yrslf Division and Daly City Records.
