 | | Billy Shane began listening to house music back in 1988 while skateboarding around New York CIty and New Jersey. It was the first time he was introduced to DJ'ing, mixing records and early house music from Bobby Konders, Frankie Knuckles, and the early acid tracks coming out of Chicago. Several hundred nights and raves later, Billy started buying records and eventually landed a residency at one of the newly equipped DJ lounges that had started popping up in Manhattan's East Village. Within weeks he was picked to play in the upstairs house room at Plush's Jungle Nation - New York's biggest Drum and Bass party at the time.
