Black Francis' musical interest started in the '80's. His attention was
first drawn towards hardrock and NWBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) of
which he gathered a serious record-collection. But from the moment that New
Beat conquered Belgium and the first house and techno records became
available, he was caught by the virus of dance music.
