Growing up in a small town in the middle of one of England’s most green and pleasant county’s Cheshire, Matthew was always a city guy living in the sticks. During his youth he explored the length and breadth of the country, from London to Manchester to Newcastle, these early days in best clubs the UK had to offer were what inspired him to start to learn to make his own music...

Matthew’s first projects of note to be released were in a very different style of music indeed to what he is producing now, driven more by his close friends and the early clubbing experiences he was having than his true passion, this chapter in his life would always end despite modest success, and from very early on Matthew felt the need to continue searching for new inspiration and new experiences from the music.

Always having had a keen interest in the technical side of his artwork he quickly learnt and achieved stunning result in the quality of the engineering of his tracks, this is an ongoing effort which is now embodied in Feel-Audio, a business offering Mastering and Mixing services to anyone he can help.

As his tastes matured somewhat Matthew began to work and collaborate with some different artists in more House oriented pieces, developing a new style and taking the first steps on the path to his eventual...Techno enlightenment

In 2006-2007 he started working with Dan Doran on a regular basis and together they began to explore and build a style of production that truly satisfied what he was looking for from his own compositions.

In the summer of 2006 his new found love for Techno and a Deeper side of house music was cemented by a week in Ibiza, awestruck by the rhythmic style, and vibe of people like Sven Vath and the Cocoon crowd and the sheer fun and openness of the Circoloco gang, he knew where his music was taking him...back to the studio to craft a more Chunky, warm open techno sound...with a big emphasis on the music and the ideas!

In early 2008 his “Darbuka” ep hit top 10 charting in the beatport charts, a good milestone timed to the beginning of his modern styles and sound, this ep was quickly following up on No Dough with the “movements ep” and later in the year the support and backing of Luke Dzierzek with the signing of the Manfedman / Kobe EP. Next up he was given the honour of remixing Lukes massive hit “The Beast” alongside Luke himself, Joel Mull & Florian Meindl. His relationship with Fling looks set to continue for a long time.

In the Winter of 2008 Broken is now being supported and tipped for the top by some of the biggest names in the business, with Radio play from Carl Cox on his future anthem of 2009 show amongst many others, and support for his recent ep’s reaching stellar heights things are looking good.

In 2009 he became a partner and shareholder in Made For Music alongside, Antonio. This is a very exciting time for both with some great ideas and the re launch of the No Dough label brand, both Matthew and Antonio are forward thinking and not afraid of taking a risk and learning something new...they have very big plans for 2009
