Brooks Mosher

Biography of Brooks Mosher

Inspired by the Detroit techno scene in the mid 90's, quality underground music, and the advancements of technology in producing and recording, Brooks has been working on his own music and developing his own style and direction for many years now. Brooks bought his first synthesizer in 1989 and within a few years was building tracks with a MIDI based setup . Brooks learned to mix on a pair of 1200's that a friend let him borrow in 1993 and although it's been secondary to producing, Brooks can also hold his own as a DJ.

During 1995 and 1996 Brooks produced two EP's of Detroit flavored tech-house released on Smart Records, which was distributed by Intellinet. After a bit of a hiatus, Brooks was discovered by Comfortable Records who released a four track EP as well as a track on a various artists release. 2011 has now brought about a few more releases, including a four track EP on Dolly. It is likely that there is more to come for the near and distant future.

As an artist, not only does Brooks understand the subtleties and the intricate nature of tone and melodic depth but he also understands how to communicate energy and emotion through rhythm. Brooks' music embodies and reflects that which speaks deeply with intrigue and warmth.
