 | | | Real name / | Camille Alice | | Aliases / | Camille Altay, Alice & Christopher | Camille grew up in Chicago in the midst of a house-dominated rave culture, and became enthralled by the technologies and aesthetics of synthesized and sampled music. She began DJing in clubs at the age of 16. Camille moved to Montreal in 2003 to study art, and there she became fascinated by electroacoustic music as well. She was invited to join forces with Women On Wax Montreal, and helped organize many successful multi-genre performances and nightlife events. She has DJ’d genre-bending sets across the US and Canada, playing festivals such as Under Pressure and the PureData summit in Montreal, and the Great Performers of Illinois festival in Chicago’s Millenium Park.
