In 1998 he began operating a retail record store and for the next seven years it became the top authority in electronic music. Concurrently his residency at Club Asylum in San Juan awarded Carlos the exposure necessary to catch the attention of event promoters and producers, fellow DJs, and other clubs across the nation allowing him to create a powerful reputation as a top-ranking act in the Puerto Rico electronic music scene. In 2000 he joined Hidden Agenda, Puerto Rico’s premier electronic event production company.
