 | | To call Casey Anderson a DJ is only scratching the surface. This young American's career is more a list of unlikely obsessions than any typical "went to a party and then I bought decks" story: From piano lessons with a strict Baptist teacher to touring the United States in his teens as an accordionist in a raucous folk-punk band; from playing classical Chinese instruments on experimental film soundtracks to editing 80s synth pop favorites; from a full time job curating music for Hong Kong's "high society" events and luxury brands to DJing long sets of tech house in discrete basements and remote beach raves... The only thing that's immediately clear is that Casey is always searching for something different in music, and wants to share it with the world.
