Biography of Chevel
|Real name / ||Dario Tronchin|
Dario Tronchin is an italian techno producer who saw himself rapidly rising up in the business during 2012. After signing his first release as Chevel in 2011 on Stroboscopic Artefacts (label which features Lucy, Dadub, Xhin and many others), Dario started working on his own musical aesthetics and he gave birth, together with a bunch of friends, to Enklav, a platform where they could fully express their need to experiment. Chevel pressed his first album on Enklav, Apply Within: an LP that received a very warm welcome by artists like DVS1, Jonas Kopp, Orde Meikle, Dadub, Tommy Four Seven and Go Hiyama.
His steady and prolific interaction with the machines helped Chevel get in touch with other labels, first of which was Non Series, where he released the ep Hearing, a production that popped into the top 10 Techno Charts for quite a long period. His first Ep, widely supported by the likes of Blawan, Luke Slater, Chris Libeing, Adam Beyer, Josh Wink, Rolando, Substance and Sigha, had such a success that the Non Series label soon asked Chevel a full album in order to seal their collaboration, a double LP which is coming out at the end of 2013.
But Chevel doesn’t seem to find an end to his creativity and his will to experiment: by the end of 2012 Dario decided to launch a new project, Monday night records, where he could develop his deep house sensibility. The first vinyl was released last January 2013 and has already conquered a lot of fans such as Mosca, Kate Simko, Alex Picone and San Soda.
