Chris Mills is the DJ/promoter behind the night, Underground in Hull.

Chris started DJing because of his love of house music. He played his first set at the age of 25 in the back room @ Rhythm Room, Hull, and from there gained regular sets at local nights across the city and region.

He went on to hold a residency for over two years at Hull's longest running house night, Deja Vu, hosting the second room. Here he played alongside some of the industries biggest names, including Pete Tong, Mark Knight, Buckley, Jonathan Ulysses, Sandy Rivera and Steve Angello. Mostly playing in the second room enabled him to develop his prefered style of deep/tech house and allowed him to be more experimental.

Chris went on to start his own night, Underground, across the city at Zebra club. The night let him take his love for the darker, unusual and truly 'underground' side of house music to new levels. Now, almost three years on, Underground has welcomed the talents of James Holroyd (Back2Basics), Matt Cooper (Dirty Disco), Frenchy (Back2Basics & The Digital Underground), Jon Woodall (Back2Basics/Whalebow), Denney (Future), Sona Sound (Bullet:Dodge records/Phobic records) and has some exciting DJs wanting to come and play at the night.

Through his experience of the performance and promotion, Chris is now exploring music production and is aiming to have some of his own individual style channeled into his own house music sounds.
