Here’s a mix of Chymera’s forthcoming album Death By Misadventure on Connaisseur. Some very nice vibing material moving freely across electronica, downtempo and house. Album out on June 1st.

Chymera hails originally from Cork, Ireland and was heavily immersed in various forms of guitar based music in his teenage years. After moving to Dublin he had thrown himself headfirst into DJing, quickly latching onto the various sounds of techno. In 2002 he made his first steps into production and over the following years progressed through electronica and electro to more dancefloor friendly techno and house.

Chymera has relocated to Berlin in 2010 where he has released the "Curl EP" on Dirt Crew Recordings. Here is his selection for "3 Things People Play":

Speedy J "Symmetry" [Plus 8 Records]
One of my all time favourite tracks. Just something about the mood of the track that gets me every time. Epic in every sense of the word

John Talabot "Matilda's Dream" [Permanent Vacation]
This is probably one of my favourite tracks of 2010. I've played it at almost DJ gig. A perfect blend of organic yet thumping drums and beautiful melodies

Laurent Garnier "Flashback" (Laboratoire Mix) [F Communications]
Another all time favourite. When I first moved to Dublin at the turn of the century I lived for a year in a house on the outskirts. It became an infamous party location and this was a bona fide anthem of every session we had there.

The good people at Bodytonic convinced RA fave Chymera to record a podcast. As far as melodic techno goes, you pretty much can't beat it.
