An Italian proverb says that: “the game is good when it’s short”, but if the game last a life it means that there is something special. This could be a good representation of the story of Claude VonStroke. A name that comes out of a joke, mocking about how good could be being famous. An harmless joke that whit the passing of the time turned into a great premonition. Barclay Cranshow, this is the real name of Claude, is an artist formed a little bit here, a little bit there. Born in Detroit he lived in New York because of the study, in Hollywood for the cinema and finally funded his own place in San Francisco, where he started his fist project. This work was called “Intellect”, a DVD with the aim of give an help to the young DJ/producer to step ahead in their career. This DVD ,self-directed and self-produced, included extracts from the biggest artist like Derrick May, Derrick Carter, Dubfire, Theo Parrish, a sort of encyclopedia that for absurd will help more him than the others. That’s quite incredible but it’s real, so in a short period of time saw the light Dirtybird, the label of his first success Deep Throat and Who’s Afraid of Detroit? And Mothership, another platform oriented to a more deep techno scene. These are only two extract of the career of Claude, a period of time that deserve more and more time to be explained…and luckily all started like a joke!
