Cotton Cake are Glasgow born Mehdi Dadrass and Jamie Young, innovators of one the top club collective in Scotland. Their passion for electronic music and the club scene began in the mid-90’s with techno influences and inspirations from the likes of Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier and local heroes Slam.

After years of Dj’ing separately the two decided to pour the essence of their musical backgrounds into contemporary moulds, collaborating as Cotton Cake which would form both an event and Dj collective. Since then they have had great success presenting some of the finest up and coming talent both locally and worldwide. Observing a healthy balance between pop appeal and experimentation has resulted in unusual blends and concoctions not easily found in club environments.

Since then the pair have been busy hosting their parties and playing supporting slots alongside the likes of Claude VonStroke, Riton, Boys Noize, Superpitcher and Mr.Oizo to name a few, and continue to constantly electrify Glasgow at the acclaimed Sub Club.
