At the young age of 15 he made his first experiences behind the decks. This was the first step into his ongoing career. The famous Passarella-Club in Essen was one of his first stations on his way through the clubs. Later he became the host of his own venue at Passarella.

He constantly shook hands with a lot of International Artists like Laurent Garnier, Robert Hood, Claude Young, Frank de Wulf etc. In short: At the age of 16 Criss already was part of the International Dj-scene and advanced to be a local hero and a magnet to the audience. The well known man from Essen soon became one of the “most wanted” acts and was favoured by many renowned clubs and organizers in Germany.

To publish his own music was the next logical step.
His first single "Ruhr-Cowboy" - which is also his nickname until today - was published in 1996 on Important Records. One year later he began cooperating with Marco Iletschko . Henceforth they worked together on various Projects such as Criss Source & Marc O' Tool / Chrome / Motorcraft / Black Eight and Good Fellas. In December 2004 Criss published his most successful track.
„ Hugs ‘n' Kisses“(Mauritius Music) advanced to be one of the most played tracks in electronic music worldwide and became a “must have” for many international dj's in 2005 and 2006.

The Song was played in almost every club and also on many events outside the territory of electronic music. Through the support of djs such as; John Digweed, Dj Hell, Steve Lawler, Nick Warren, Pascal Feos, Tiesto, Dave Seaman, Carl Cox, Moguai, Paul van Dyk, Deep Dish and many other national and international artists he was able to establish his work in many different countries.

Criss travels the globe from Brazil to Mexico, from Russia to Hungary, from Austria to Spain and from Israel to Turkey. His club-history expands continuously throughout the world.

In 2005 till 2007 Criss published further releases such as Guate Antigua, Drama, Retrospective,
Front derailleur, Showtime & Indigo and remixed tracks from several artists like ; Michael Burion, Balazko , etc. on many different labels. In addition to that he started a radio-show together with his colleague Steve Lauren called +/-8 on Radio Essen and host a monthly radio show on Proton Radio.com together with his Dj Colleague D-Nox. Secondary he is working for the Label Mauritius Music as A&R Manager and always looking for new talents to support.

Since the beginning of 2008 he is working on a new project called High Rollers. This gives him the opportunity to realize more emotional parts in his productions. The first Release called; Fortuna; will be published by Supra Records with 2 Remixes from Jay Lumen and Memento. Besides there will be two new Announcements together with Marc O' Tool on Circle Music & X.L.R.8.R. Records.
