Turntablist DJ and producer based in Bordeaux (France) since 1997. D-Former started to collect old Disco records with his old friend DJ Lester (R.I.P.) and is mainly influenced and inspired by Detroit's House, Techno and Electro. Starting his DJ career in 1996, D-Former is best known for his use of three decks to scratch, beat-juggle and blend electro-bass with Detroit House and Techno. He quickly earned a solid reputation as a DJ, producer and remixer.
D-Former was mentored by the legendary producer, songwriter, singer, remixer and DJ Aaron-Carl who was one of the biggest name in the Detroit House, Techno and Ghetto scene. He was a member and an official DJ of WARMTH International for years and today focuses on his new platform and labels.
D-Former's mixes, tracks, features and remixes have been released on labels like SUBMERGE RECORDINGS [DDV], LOGOS RECORDINGS, DETOX RECORDINGS, DV RECORDINGS, LO-DEEP RECORDINGS,ELECTRIC TRACKS.
Remixing artists like Aaron-Carl, AD Cruze, Dave-G and many others, his contribution as remixer for the rappers of the STEREOBOYZ, with the infamous "Robots and Miniskirt" track gave him an international recognition.
Since January 2011, D-Former is the CEO of Lo-Deep Recordings and also runs the Electro-Ghetto sublabel Electric Tracks, taking care of label design alongside Lo-Deep artist DJ Dénouement from Denver, Colorado. |
