Thu, 19 Jan 2012  /  Post a commentDasha Rush is Russian born, but actually she is a citizen of the world, maybe by chance. She likes to mix music with other elements to push the boundaries to the limit, searching for the experimentation. In her strange and twisted world the machines are the protagonists of a neo-romanticism, weaved with human dreams.

Her first live performances were part of gallery exhibitions, using sound installations and theatre performances to explore the emotional and technological aspects of electronic music. Now living in France, Dasha Rush runs her own techno label Fullpanda Records and the more experimental offshoot Hunger To Create. Besides running her own labels she is also releasing tracks on Sonic Groove, as well as performing live all over the globe. In this release Dasha Rush bringing up a mixture of rather rare techno electronica
experimentations, and synthesized sounds more akin to the brief movement of underground music. Where roots of such sound partially go back to the early 20th century that rise to significant Art Movements now days ,that encouraged experimentation with various musical (and non musical) forms, while rejecting more conventional, tradition-bound styles of expression.
By Including the elements of contemporary dance music and experimentations with deep , slightly dark , instrumentally non identify sounds , “Unspoken” makes a piece of modern sound art ,that would perfectly could be listened in a dance venue for a title like “Till then “ on b side or in more focus sound research venue for a title such as “ Veloure rouge” or “Unspoken”.

Dasha’s newest 3 track release “Sonic State” on Sonic Groove can be described as dark, futuristic, industrialized subsonic bass techno for the mind and the feet. This is the current day techno sound for a brand new decade. Sonic Groove & Dasha Rush welcome you into 2010, which also just happens to be the 20th Anniversary of Sonic Groove records formerly known as Groove Records! Dasha Rush though a new signing has been a very close ally of Sonic Groove over the last four years. Adam X owner of Sonic Groove met Dasha in a very ironic way at a random party in NYC where the music being played was not to their liking. Soon a conversation sparked about what music they both liked. Dasha and Adam were soon shocked to find out that each had very similar tastes in artists & styles from the yester years of underground techno music. It was for sure a strange coincidence to take place in an event where this type of music would not be known by most. From this point on the connection and passion that both have for the darker, rougher sounds of techno music caused a close friendship to forge between the two of them. Since this time Dasha Rush the former Paris living, Russian Ex patriot now Berliner has gone on to forge a very solid foundation in Europe with her music production and her record labels, Hunger to Create and Fullpanda Records. Dasha has received solid support from the finest of record shops including the highly respected Hardwax in Berlin & Rubadub in the UK. She has rocked many a live show and Dj set from Australia to Japan to all over the EU and her native country Russia. Dasha’s latest dj mixes on the very respected blog, mnmlssg.blogspot.com website have received rave reviews and was also listed as mix of the day on Resident Advisor.
