Born and raised in Paris, where his reggae-dub roots were fed with hip hop through years of graffiti raids, and with techno and house after listening to many artists, at 17 Simbad moved to Cordoba, Argentina. In 1996 he started djing at clubs and cultural events. He co-organized a series of interdisciplinary events and teamed up with visual artists, writers and musicians as Dialogo Beat collective. He's played big events such as Brahma Beats, 1Live!, Creamfields and SonarSound Buenos Aires. Among the artists he's shared decks and music style we can mention Sammy Dee, Matthew Dear, Cabanne, Troy Pierce, Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin. In Argentina he plays a monthly gig in Buenos Aires at the Soup night, alongside Carlos Alfonsin and Cristobal Paz, as well as many gigs all across the country… As a sample you may check Resident Advisor's podcast 122. /// |
