As a wide eyed and open minded 18 year old he became hooked and soon immersed himself in the ever evolving culture. In the early '90's he worked for 'BPM', the very first underground Parisian record store and it was here that he built a vast knowledge of the exciting US labels and producers. By the end of the '90's Valentin was a regular on the DJ and after-hours circuit, but as the rapidly developing 'French Touch Movement' began to make its mark, it was time to find new inspiration.
A meeting with movie director Catherine Breillet lead to Valentin composing for the movie score of her film Romance X. This exciting new venture brought new opportunities and soon he was scoring for movie, art and fashion..
