Biography of Dom Kane

Dom Kane - Biography - 2012

The name Dom Kane appears in studios and DJ sets all around the world. As a producer, his tracks have appeared in the playlists of DJ’s such as Pete Tong, David Guetta, James Zabiela, Andi Durrant, Deadmau5, and many more. As a DJ, he’s been a resident at some of the worlds most legendary clubs including Space Ibiza and Ministry Of Sound in London.

2012 started with a bang, entering the Beatport Top 40 Chart with his track "Space" with Sick Elektrik, and a front cover feature in Future Music Magazine including a video interview and production session on the DVD (issue FM252). While his latest album "Formulas" is almost complete, he continues to work on more collaborations for 2012, including Sonny Wharton, Kim Fai, Sick Elektrik, and many more.

As an engineer, the name Dom Kane appears in most electronic recording studios across the globe, having delivered work for Loopmasters, FXpansion, Deadmau5 and Steve Duda, Ohm Force, and even factory content for the legendary analogue synth company Moog. 2010 saw him with a full feature on the front cover and inside Computer Music Magazine along with a “Producer Masterclass” session on the DVD (CM159). In addition to this, he remixed the likes of Darren Emerson, Wally Lopez, Flash Brothers, Mark Trophy & Angie Brown to name a few.

During 2008, Dom was asked to release a Tech-House Producer sample and loops bank for the prestigious Artist Series on Loopmasters that went straight to the #1 Bestseller position and stayed there for 6 weeks! Since then, he has grown from strength to strength within the sample library industry and even created his own brand “Quantum Loops” to be exclusively distributed through the Loopmasters website from late 2011.

His sound touches everything from tech-infused Progressive House, to the downright nasty Electro and Tech-House, creating a pumped-up robo-funk engineered to destroy peaktime floors with pin-point precision.

Having first started DJing in 1992 when free-parties were rife, discovering the love of performing to a 2000-strong crowd, by 1995 he was performing with residencies around the Southwest, and guest slots in Ibiza during the summer of 1998. By 2004, Dom began his monthly residency with Proton Radio, and then 2006 saw Dom Kane launch Xeton Records, entering a four-month Tour of Eastern Europe when Dom was first propelled into the big league of the underground scene when his remake of the Orbital classic ‘Halcyon’ gained plays from James Zabiela, Hernan Cattaneo, Sander Kleinenberg, Sasha, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, and the almighty Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1… not to mention both the Hartnoll brothers behind the original track itself, gaining rave reviews from DJ Mag, IDJ, 365, EQ, and Mixmag to name a few.
