Tue, 10 Nov 2009  /  Post a commentAfter the massive ‘technoesque’ attack that Low Flow Records performed by putting out its autumn releases, it’s time to hold a breath and take a dive into a more dreamy realm of deep house music.
The sixth release on Low Flow is represented by Alex Smolyaninov a.k.a. Elastic Sound - a very talented and fertile producer from Moscow, known for his trademark sound and soulful approach to the contemporary deep house music.
Elastic Sound has previously been released on such imprints as Deepology Digital, In Deep Records, DeepClass as well as already appeared on the Low Flow roster in a role of a remixer.
This time Elastic Sound brings us two wonderful tunes within “Moon Travel” EP: “Alone”, which is highlighted by its trademark jumpy percussion, funky bassline and soulful samples and “Moon Travel” – a posh and beautiful track that won’t leave indifferent anyone of the quality deep house fans out there.
On the remixes we are pleased to introduce Kyka (Clubstar, Cabrio), who colors “Alone” with his bright synthetic sequences and Ocean Gaya (Plastic City, Tronic Soundz), whose re-rub of “Moon Travel” evokes a shivering emotional whirlpool by its warm ambience and melancholic sound fusion.
Elastic Sound – “Moon Travel” EP is definitely a must-have recording both for professional DJs and musicians as well as for all the music lovers and the quality deep electronic collectors.
The flow goes on..!

The time has come for the third release on Low Flow Records where we have the pleasure to introduce the producer duo of Ashot Babayan and Garry Mkrtchyan, this time appearing under the alias of Salt Sweet.
Salt Sweet have previously been highlighted by their debut release “In Circles” EP on the Chicago-based underground record label named KGBeats Records, as well as with follow ups on Acryl Music and Carica Deep.
With a remarkable sense of deep electronics merged with the contemporary tech stream, Salt Sweet are here to represent another trademark solution with two original cuts on the EP.
Starting with “The Coming” – the duo brings up the vision of laid back atmospheric waves penetrated by the upmost rocking beats which are not really usual for this kind of tracks, but relevant enough to state the flow in a seamless manner.
The second one on the list is “Blue Haze” – which definitely means deep house by terms of contemporary standards and trends. Competent chords, tight low-end and a beautiful background works out to be a true anthem for the A-class deep house appreciators.
On the remixes we have pleasure to welcome Cristovao Guerreiro Mestre a.k.a Mastercris who has previously produced/remixed for 2600 Records, Dutchie, Next Dimension and also our Russian colleague Aleksey Smolyaninov a.k.a. Elastic Sound with his background on Deepology, Cabrio and Proton Music. Both of the remixes unclose the individual character brought in by these talented producers and push the “Blue Haze” to another level – more house-oriented and yet charged to rock the dance-floor.
The Flow must go on…! Stay tuned!

Fri, 17 Jul 2009  /  Post a commentHey Deepsters,
Fresh 'Aquamarine with Deepology' show, July Edition, special guest - Spin Science (Plastic city, Urbantorque).
SHOW INFO:
Deepology Digital label fires off additional fractal of sound experience to please your ears and soul with a brand new show - Aquamarine, hosted by Elastic Sound, one of the label's main men. Coming out on the third Wednesday of the month, this 2-hour show blossoms and sparkles from sensual to dark sides of the deep house music.
Spin Science is the pseudonym for upcoming artist ?lar Aasm?e. Born in Estonia in 1984, ?lar was not always into music - it became his passion in the late nineties, when he discovered the beautiful sound and aura of Electronic Dance Music.
Throughout the years of discovering EDM his taste and style evolved from trance to deep and tech house. A major role in that evolution was played by local house gurus, Rulers Of The Deep and Dave Storm, who influenced him by their fabulous radio shows on Estonian national radiostation Radio 2.
?lar started creating music almost three years ago while he was still into progressive trance. This era taught him the ropes of expressing himself musically, but his productions really took off when his bootleg mix of Vibe Residents (Rulerd Of The Deep) feat Dragonfly "DJs Calling" was made. After hearing his own production on one of ROTD's radioshows, he realized that house music is the genre that truly touches his soul.
After many more months of hard work, his dedication finally paid off when his first ever EP, Fill Your Soul, was signed for a release on Dave Storms own Cabrio Records. His second release was on ROTD Recordings with an almighty ROTD remix on the flipside. Following that is an upcoming EP on Urbantorque and remixes for labels such as Plastic City, Urbantorque and Glideslope Music among others, remixing artists such as Neil Quigley and Nick Muir, and there's much more to come.
As well as keeping himself busy in the studio, there are big plans for DJing in the future! ?lar has set aside much of his life for music and dedicated studio time, so watch out for this young, talented Estonian and many more Spin Science productions.

"So please, dive in the warm gradient of spring deep-house moods: the calm original True Romance tune from the man himself is extra-spiced by 4 fantastic remixes. Starting with a very classy sensual spacey dub by Da Funk, it goes through Plastic City inspired - bassline driven version by Kyka, a super-fat atmospheric delayed dub by a newcomer Ricky Inch - we don't even know what it is, deep house blended with prog or vice versa, it ends with a very melodic, very musical romantic piano story by UK's promising talents - The Disclosure Project.
Cheers big ears!

Coming out on the third Wednesday of the month, this 2-hour show blossoms and sparkles from sensual to dark sides of the deep house music.
Born in Yerevan, Armenia - Garry Mkrtchyan is the man using the artistic name Fabien Kamb to release deep/tech house oriented music. Starting with a debut “Indigo/Samurai” EP on Body Rhythm Records (a record label run by Ross Couch), Fabien definitely gained certain credits and full support by the likes of: Laurent Garnier, Shur-i-Kan, Da Funk, Scope (Ric Mclelland), Lukas Greenberg, Latenta Project, Richard Earnshaw (Spiritchaser) and others. This might probably be considered as a full debut for a newcomer if not only the fact that Garry (aka Fabien Kamb) has actually been involved in music production and djing since 1998 – Garry “Spectrum” Mkrtchyan working in cooperation with Ashot Babayan, has got numerous releases under his belt appearing as Mad and Spectral, Salt Sweet.
This is the most logical step for a skilled music producer – to use another moniker and be able to come up from different angles and bring in new shapes of deep/tech oriented music around.
With a remarkable standpoint concerning the ever-evolving house music trends and a sense of self confidence, Fabien Kamb (Garry) has got all of the necessary tools and skills to be listed as an internationally re-known dj and producer in the nearest future. Surely enough the list of record labels wishing to have Fabien on board and other artists wishing to gain a remix from this producer is going to grow up – lately Fabien has been involved in producing remixes for Elevation Records, The Disclosure Project Records, Body Rhythm, Low Flow Records and others. So taking into consideration Fabien’s (Garry Mkrtchyan) reputable background over the years and the ability to represent certain trademark sounds and grooves in a specific manner for each of his aliases, the international house music community (electronic in general) is without a doubt going to earn more and more of perfectly produced music and loads of positive emotions.
