It's 8am. Black Rock Desert. This is the 3rd set I'd played within 8 hours ... 3-hours of blissed out 'Playa-Tech'.
It's 8am. Black Rock Desert. The previous evening had been electric. It began with a demented set of pure excess on the aptly named Purgatory Cruiser with it's Exocet flame guns and rocket-powered propane ... and then moved onto an epic, spiritual sunrise set on the Robot Heart ...
[In fact, I've blogged about it here > http://www.uaarecs.com/blog/?p=213 ]
... and it ended up at the fabulous Nutz camp, surrounded by gorgeous Playa-friends, getting lowdown & dirty until around 11.30am. By the time I'd finished, I'd clocked up over 8-hours of DJaying that evening / morning and could have happily played for another 8 (I was due on again at 6pm, but that's another story!).
So this is my set live, direct and raw, as it happened. Not my typical fayre perhaps, but none of my Burning Man sets are ever 'typical', and this perhaps gives you a different angle on my musical tastes.
Anyway, hope you enjoy it, and if you do please click LIKE on the Facebook page, and SHARE the set far & wide.
"I played on a giant bus with a wall of speakers on one side and heart suspended above. And then a tall man with a walking staff tapped me on the shoulder and told me it was time to go. All my friends were waiting for me on a giant white bed and we floated across the desert where I played house music for another three hours. There was a buffalo on a skate board and drinks were served from a motorized smurf cooler..."

Elite Force lets loose his new Album collab with Klaus Badelt full length reworks of the Sony Motorstorm Apocalypse Project....
Elite Force has been properly smashing it over the past two years.
First we had a series of dubstepbreaks refixes and remakes that featured the likes of Bar 9, Datsik, Benga and Caspa, and then early last year he dropped the MASSIVE 'Revamped' album on U&A to universal critical acclaim, and instigated a total Beatport takeover in doing so. Releases followed on Excision's 'Rottun Recordings', where he continued to mess with the formula and take dubstep into the breaks arena and back again, and now, in one of his most ambitious projects to date, he has dropped a peerless 10-track album of top quality bass music in the 'Shockland' album that's out this week.
The music of 'Shockland' is genre-free, but it's all united by fearsome bass, charging percussion, broken beats and the omnipresence of an awesome 70-piece orchestra. The tracks contained within were written for the game Motorstorm Apocalypse for the PS3 (which was released a couple of months back to great acclaim) in collaboration with Oscar-winning classical / soundtrack composer Klaus Badelt, whose work you will be familiar with if you've watched Pirates of The Caribbean or Gladiator.
Far from being a pure dancefloor album, as was Revamped, this is a much more complex beast and something to immerse yourself in - a world of moody, epic orchestration, with dark turns, emotive swells & savage drops. It's soundtrack music first & foremost, but in creating these extended versions with more than half an eye on the dancefloor, Elite Force has succeeded in taking this widescreen sound straight onto the big systems. Dubstep, downtempo, breakbeat and even drum & bass are all covered on 'Shockland' and we at Noiseporn can't recommend it highly enough!
As a special bonus for Noiseporn readers, here's a FREE 320 of a brand new extended version of the in-game remake of Lalo Schifrin's epic Bullit Theme. Originally put together for the E3 conference in LA last year this extended version is well worth a d/l.

"A fitting way to celebrate the double Breakspoll award. Reckon that the label has probably been the best exponent of boggle-eyed naughtiness for some time, so the props is deserved. 5/5"[iDJ Magazine]
What can I say?! The Loops of Fury are back with a ball-busting burst of stunning sonix on U&A Recordings, who are once again in celebration mode having won the prestigious Best Label Award at the annual Breakspoll celebrations earlier in the month, and now having added the Beatport Award for Best Breaks Single of 2010 to the bulging mantlepiece.
"'We Unfold' wretches the rhythm of our insides and throws them high into the skies. Pink fluffy clouds cascading rainbow techno vomit on an unsuspecting legion of bedazled believers." [Soul of Man]

2010 was a massive year for Elite Force. Nine number ones on Beatport, the entire 'Revamped' album holding the Top 12 slots for over three weeks, countless headline festival slots over the summer (including Shambhala, Burning Man, Kendal Calling, Glastonbury, Wickerman, Szin), finally culminating in recognition with the BEST PRODUCER and BEST LABEL awards at this year's Breakspoll.
He finished the year by penning no fewer than 14 tracks for the Motorstorm : Apocalypse game for Playstation alongside Klaus Badelt (Pirates of The Caribbean) and is gearing up for a full release of extended versions of some of these tracks in May on his own U&A Recordings.
Meanwhile, last week he recorded an exclusive interview and mix for Annie Nightingale on BBC Radio One & presented her with her own richly deserved award on air.
Shack is busy preparing for Miami Ultra...Later this summer, Elite Force will once again be hosting another Boat Party on the Thames after the sellout success of last summer's event - make 16th July a date for the diary.
With a diary that is currently bursting at the seams, he includes his first Australian Tour for 18 months when he heads out for a 3-week stint that includes three shows in New Zealand, and with the summer booking up fast he has already confirmed his return to Burning Man in the USA at the end of the festival
"Thanks to Elite Force, we have entered a whole new paradigm in mashupology ... he has created a collection of numbers that sound like original compositions, such are the intricacies of his tailoring. Think less mash-up and more electronic investigation, this won't lose momentum anytime soon"
[iDJ Magazine (album reviews)]
Elite Force's 'Revamped' album was released this week & has enjoyed a phenomenal response. During the course of it's first week of release, it has achieved a feat unprecedented in any genre in reaching for the stars to claim 14 spots in the Top 50 (from all genres), thereby giving Elite Force a 38% share of the best selling Electronic Music globally this week. In addition to this, tracks from 'Revamped' occupy the entire front page on the breaks charts (#1-#12) whilst taking 5th & 7th places in the Electro House charts. In short, this has been something of a revolution .
The by-word for Elite Force has always been 'genre-free music', and whilst he is often thought of as belonging to certain specific stylistic groups, the fearless mashing up of anything from dubstep to techno to electro to acid house is what defines this album and has led to many of it's accolades, and comparisons to seminal works from Soulwax and 2ManyDJs amongst others.

"The originator of the anti-genre DJ-style 'tech-funk' takes the realms of cross-genre production to another effortless high with Re:Vamped.
In a nutshell, this kicks. 5/5"
[Mixmag Reviews]
A mix compilation from Elite Force's U&A Recordings has been on the cards for some time now. Ever since his first label 'Fused & Bruised' shut up shop around 2002, he'd had half an eye on running a second imprint, and in many ways the onset of the digital domain was the catalyst he required.
The initial blueprint was as a vehicle for his own releases and re-issues, but inevitably he soon became seduced by the quality of unsigned music that was out there, and thus a small empire began to emerge. Aside from a host of stellar remixers ranging from Miles Dyson to Meat Katie and from Hybrid to DJ Dan, the label has been responsible to establish the careers of such highly regarded newcomers as Zodiac Cartel, The Loops of Fury., Rektchordz, Butter Party, Dustbowl, and Mike Hulme.
With a burgeoning reputation as one of the most exciting, eclectic & visionary labels in the electronic firmament, it was only a matter of time before some of the many highlights from their catalogue to date appeared in time-honoured DJ mix fashion, and rather than take the reins himself (and in keeping with the label's ethos of developing new, young talent) he decided to hand mix duties over to emerging superstars, The Loops of Fury. Their debut single 'Flick A Switch' smashed the charts on Beatport and spent over a month in the Top 5, instantly catapulting them into the limelight, and making them the perfect choice to compile and mix U&A's first mix album, 'Tech-Funk : 01'. Taking some of the finest tracks to appear on the label to date as well as exclusives from The Loops & Zodiac Cartel, this is the perfect blend of electro-techno, and perfectly encapsulates the sound of U&A.
