Emrah Yalcin started his professional music career with DJing at the Staras Music Production Department. After 3 years of working for the Staras Music Studios, he switched to Radio Future Generation (FG FM)’s Trojan Productions –present name is PD Department- and worked as a night DJ and worked for the post production. As he carried on working for FG FM, he started the Real Time Live Minimax Project with Demir Baran Kutlu. The sound of the Minimax Project is mainly based on micro house, minimal house, minimal techno, IDM and glitch styles. They inspired from several minimal electro musicians and talented producers such as Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Barem, Sasha Funke, Paul Kalkbenner, and more. In a short time, they gained the appreciation of the audience. The Minimax Project is still continuing their works on producing singles. In 2007, Emrah Yalcin met Burak Taskiran (DJ Burax), Avni Ertepe (DJ Noize), Cansu Aybar (DJ Bang!) and Metehan Corumluoglu (DJ Style-Ist) from The Dirty Project. The same year, he became one of the resident DJs of Club Machine Istanbul within the Machine Killerz Label and is still working as the Music Coordinator of Machine Killerz (MKZ Crew). In 2009, they launched the Detec Records with Ortan Sevin (DJ Ortan) after many years of playing together. Detec Records is a formation aiming to help to give direction to house and techno music genres in Turkey and inspiring and raising new generation producers.
