Fabien Kamb – Subtle (The Remixes)
The hot season prelude continues to rage within the Low Flow, this time in a form of a steaming remix-bundle, produced by the industry’s finest representatives.
The hero of this musical occasion is Garry Mkrtchyan himself a.k.a. Fabien Kamb, whose previously released tune “Subtle” (LFR007) made a huge fuss in the contemporary deep electronic scene.
Fabien Kamb – “Subtle (The Remixes)” includes three revisions of this brilliant tune that lead to its undiscovered sides.
The EP starts up with a gentle and shiny remix by Rodean Roozbehani, known as Rodskeez (Mango Alley, Presslab, Hotfingers), which incorporates the shaky groove and sound textures transparence.
Matty Gillespie (Elevation Recordings (Ireland), Skint, Brown Eyed Boyz) follows up with his version of the “Subtle”, turning it into a kind of a dirty dub, loaded with sub-noises and echoed percussion lines all over the track.
And finally, the third remix in the package belongs to Poland’s most successful deep house producers of the present – Karol XVII & MB Valence, who join the Low Flow roster with their trademark ‘loco’ remix.
So, check this outstanding ‘must have’ release, because you don’t really want to miss this!
Sit back, relax and enjoy the flow… The Low Flow..!

Title: Homelands EP
Label: Low Flow Records
Cat. No. LFR004
Beatport Promo Release: 17 September, 2009
Fabien Kamb – “Homelands” EP
Low Flow Records is happy to present an EP by one of the co-founders and owners of the label – Garry Mkrtchyan, who goes under his main alias of Fabien Kamb.
Fabien Kamb is a bright example of the contemporary electronic club music supernova, who alongside with his activities within such projects as Mad and Spectral, Salt Sweet, Warm 8 and Khorna, showed his high-class skills and professional approach in his solo career. Being previously released on such respected imprints as Body Rhythm Black, DeepClass, Onethirty, Neurotraxx and Acryl Music, Fabien brings in his first recording for Low Flow Records – the “Homelands” EP.
Without breaking the rules, the single starts with the original version of the track, which is a pure essence of what can be considered under the name of Fabien Kamb. A classic progression fused with the intellectually selected percussive bleeps and warm synth lines, make an unforgettable effect of kind of a slightly thrilling rush that lifts up and takes the masses far beyond the horizon.
The list of the remixes is opening by a trademark re-rub by surely not unknown JP & Jones (two main figures behind the Disclosure Project) – this one gives a new groove to the original cut.
Next on comes Ross Couch himself – a trademark approach and a reasonable sound. Surely enough a dance-floor oriented remix with an emphasis on the groove and the atmosphere. And the last but definitely not the least comes Krummstoff (the other half of Low Flow Records) with his techy bleeps and glitches accurately layered on a really fat groove – this one is a typical nodder with a sound philosophy strongly promoted by Krummstoff (Ashot Babayan).
Stay tuned for more…
