Biography of Flecker | | | Real name / | Steve Fletcher |
Flecker began DJing at the height of the Trance scene of the late 90's, reinvented his style time again, incorporating different influences of house, electro, techno and breakbeat. After winning the Heat UK DJ competition he turned his attention to producing in 2004.
Signed to the independent label BHive Records in 2006, Flecker's debut release of 'Attack 81' went on to score massively on the underground circuit. With 4 releases under his belt at BHive, Flecker also became a fundamental part of the team, heading up their Mastering division and assisting in the promotional side of their sister label CSide. In 2008 Flecker was asked to remix UNKLE's 'Restless' featuring Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age, released on James Lavelle Surrender All label.
Flecker is now a co-owner of StopListenDance, and 2009 looks to be a big year for one of the label's most formidable artists. |
