Fog Puma's dj career came to life in the mid nineties in a velvet-wallpapered ex-brothel in the rhinelandic town of Bonn, the one-time German capital. The former house of pleasure had shortly before been converted into a music club. When a friend couldn't attend one of his events there, Fog Puma (at that time using his common name) started spinning off the cuff, using nine or ten records, most of them being compilations. His favorite styles back then were downbeat, stoner soul, trip hop, slow funk and sleazy jazz from italian exploitation films.
