Franck Roger

Like a well-seasoned casanova, Franck has found the perfect way to follow up that first date with an even deeper reflection of himself as an artist, leaving us flustered and quite simply stunned by his charm. Now we wait with anticipation as he whispers in our ears about a forthcoming album for Circus Company, all the while ensuring we stay hooked with this nugget of promise for what the future may hold.
Label: Circus Company

Artist: Franck Roger

EP Title: Spread Love / Black Kiss
Cat#: CCS068

A1 – Spread Love
B1 – Black Kiss

Written & produced by Franck Roger

Being the hopeless romantics we are here at Circus Company, when we fall for an artist we tend to do it head over heels. You may have witnessed this in the past with some of our dearest protégés, from Dave Aju to Nicolas Jaar. Now we are embarking on the same kind of whirlwind affair with Franck Roger, the glow only just retreating from our cheeks after he won our hearts with the “I Take You Up” EP.

As ever with Franck, house music purity lies at the heart of his creation, and the two tracks on this new EP are a continuation of that theme, but it never ceases to amaze how one man can conjure up so much passion and intrigue with such a simple, unfussy approach to production.

From the seductive tendrils of the bass line in “Spread Love” to the impossibly alluring DX7 organ stabs on “Black Kiss”, the lack of pretention in the music will hold your brain and feet captive until you’re as smitten as we are. With roses in hand and a wicked glint in his eye, the modern house romancer is here to pick you up for the night. Tell your parents, “don’t wait up”…

Following the success of Hustling Peoples from his This Is Now EP, Franck Roger continues to make magic happen with an abundance of new projects on the horizon.
Franck's "Take You Up" EP has just been released on Circus Company and further more, he continues to stay busy currently working on his first album that he will release with Circus Company next year. Meanwhile, following the success of their "After All" release last October, Franck has teamed up with friend Mandel Turner again to create another gem for us- "Going Through The Motions" will in fact be finished within the next week so stay tuned for more information coming soon! And last but certainly not least, keep an ear out early May for the Maya Jane Coles remix of "Bring It Back" by Franck Roger coming on Real Tone Records!

Franck Roger returns with a sharp three-track release alongside talented countryman Terence: Terry. The pair’s This Is Now EP blasts us into 2012, a bold and edgy step-change for Real Tone off the back of vintage, Stateside-vibed After All (with Mandel Turner).

Gritty opening number Hustling Peoples keeps things on edge; just as they should be. Roger and Terry’s title track accelerates smoothly into funky, retro-tinged house flow, complimented by echoes of female vocal. Final offering Beaucoup La Féte returns to moodier territory; a 4-4 stomp with real chaotic charm and buzzing FX.

Franck Roger is back with his remix of "Yes Sewer That's My Baby" by The Midnight Perverts. Straight from the classic New York vocal house sound, with all it's soul and overwhelming bassline, this remix is sure to be one of Franck's best works on 2011-2012.
Label : Overall Music

Artist : The Midnight Perverts

Cat # : OVLLM011
Title: Nightlife EP

a1.The Midnights Perverts - Nightlife (original mix)

a2.The Midnights Perverts - Yes sewer that´s my baby (original mix)

b1.The Midnights Perverts - Nightlife (Terence : Terry: remix)

b2.The Midnights Perverts - Yes sewer that´s my baby (Franck Roger remix)

Romeo Ugalde aka The Midnight Perverts brings us his first full appearance on Overall Music. Dropping 3 original cuts that swine in between classic deep house, funky electronic and 90's house music. Completing this EP, two remixes by two French powerhouses: Franck Roger (Real Tone, Desolat) and Terence :Terry: (Freak n'Chic, La Vie En Rose). Real Tone's chief delivers his own view of "Yes Sewer That's My Baby", straight from the classic New York vocal house sound, with all it's soul, voice work and an overwhelming bassline that makes this remix one of Franck's best works on 2011-2012. On the other side, Terence delivers an hypnotic deep house remix of "Nightlife" with his very own personal touch: a sweet pad that will delight every dancefloor in any afterhour or warmup moment.
Listen , dance & enjoy!!!!

Franck’s innate understanding of what dance music should mean comes from the era of the Paradise Garage, where the impulse to get your freak on was as much a psychedelic feeling as a euphoric one. Here he has given us both kinds of emotion in three instantaneous remedies for dancefloor indifference.

XX – I Take You Up (Instrumental)

Written & produced by Franck Roger

Since the beginning, Circus Company has always been strongly motivated to showcase new talent, but sometimes it’s important to pay respect to those who paved the way for what we do now. From the vibrant Parisian house music scene of the ‘90s, Ark already heralded the birth of our label, and Pépé Bradock remixed one of our most recent successes, Nicolas Jaar. Now we turn to a man whose pure, simple approach to house music has influenced our most club-focused output.

Franck Roger has been a great ambassador for the true meaning of French house music, from his own productions that stretch back more than ten years, through to his record label Real Tone. Having started out producing direct, peak-time vocal cuts, Franck’s dedication to his art has seen his music evolve across an ever-widening panorama of moods and feelings, sound sources and production methods.

It would be a very dedicated fan that could chart every release of Franck’s and how he has travelled along his own production arc, but our 64th release finds him on exemplary form, combining immediate club dynamics with rich, accomplished textures. The beats take centre stage to command you into movement, but really act as a distraction for the strange tones and dubby FX to take control of your head.
