Thu, 29 Dec 2011 / Post a commentFrodo's selection of damaged dub minimalism recalls the best of Basic Channel techno, while pitching it down to give it that clear and deep factor. These tracks materialize out of a haze of stuttering fuzz, bouncing thin shimmers of echoing synth off of ambiguous rhythms and taught, bulging bass. It's nice to have it all in one place. Enjoy.

Wed, 08 Dec 2010 / Post a commentNo track indexing, no track list, and a raw house sound — few other DJs could get away with this and not get called out, yet Frodo’s selection skills and unmatched knack for making historic and contemporary connections make up for his refusal to provide the trimmings.
This is the usual high standard fare — difficult-to-identify Detroit and Chicago cuts interspersed with underground classics and modern house, featuring Rick Wilhite, Omar S, Soulphiction and LoSoul. And then some. Enjoy.
