Biography of Gabi Newman | |
Gabi Newman is one of the top names in electronic music in Spain. He's exporting his sound throughout the world and his sessions are marked by the musicality of their productions.
He has worked with a few different names throughout his career, in 1992 he began his adventure recording in Blanco y Negro Music label with "No More Stories" in 1992 and taking several singles with this label.
In 1994 he met Xavi Barranquero "Jan Solo" and Toni Mora, when he was resident of the legendary club from el Vallès "Unik" and together they created the brand "MF Station" and under the name "Status" and the label Max Music, they composed "Break The Silence", success in (the) charts in Spain to be held on the official list of sales over 30 weeks.
Shortly after they created the number one on the charts "Ororo" and his version of the familiar theme of Cranberries "Zombie", it remained number one during 16 weeks and it was undisputed in the charts, creating a new trend in electronic music in Spain, also it was licensed by other countries in the world.
Also for the label Bit Music under the name of "Good Boys" launched "Save Your Love", another hit on the charts in Spain.
Torpedo Bross, Renaissance and Average were some of the other names used by the trio Status during that time.
After this prolific stage moved away from the decks and the production and devoted himself to the world of radio and music advertising for 5 years.
In 2003 and the need to return to the decks and producing electronic music was born "Gabi Newman".
After leaving the radio world enterprise entered the Blanco Y Negro (Vendetta Records) as in-house producer, creating tunes like;
"No Puedo Olvidarme" with DJ Java, "Eva", "Tribalissimo", "Bootleg In The Gun" with Cesar Lorés, "Burning The Vinyl" with Luis Lopez and Nicole Tyler, "Under Pressure" with Bobby Soul, " Release "with Nikole Kollars," Don't Break Us Down "with Dj Angel and Naomi Moss.
Editing in turn with other labels such as "The Bird" with Sutil Records, "People" in Urbana Recordings, "Let Me Love You" In Stereo
During this time and to date Remixed many of the major world producers such as;

Meanwhile back with renewed vigor to the decks around the world, with its house sessions with all the labels out there, offering a different view to their productions and the best productions that marked tendency to taste, regardless of the style in which were labeled.
After 10 years, left his post in Blanco y Negro Music and created his own studio. From then until now has worked with many top labels such as Toolroom, Defected, Stealth Records, Housessesion, Deco Recording Group, Groovebox Recordings, 17:44, Diamons House, Slip N' Slide, Ultra, Universal…
Also with Jan Solo and Ayla Love created the project "Holy Band Strippers" an electronic pop band that is ready to be released in 2012!
2012 is yet to be written, but starts the year being a resident of the prestigious festivals that are all over the world "Angelic Party" with Roma Pafos, Tiesto and Daft Punk among others.. and with a new production coming up in EDX's label "Sirup Music" .. and upcoming collaborations with "Lenny Fontana", "Jason Chance", "Tania Doko" among others..
