With his first release on dub2dust Gabriel Le Mar again shows his side as a producer focussing on dubtech music with an energetic flow. Quantec remixied up a great dub rocker, let us get going through deep and floating dub chords and nerdy piano rolls. The tracks are a wonderful example of going through waves concerning energy and flow with one result - something more musical and playful.

Gabriel Le Mar nices up this year with his new album LEVEL. LEVEL shows Gabriel´s affinity to Techno, TechHouse and Detroit influences, while Dub sound is what connects the tunes in all the variations. All tracks are made for the floor but also work in pure listening fun. Moody floating sounds, bassy grooves and atmospheric filterworks as well as danceable deepness are the carrying elements of these nine tunes.

Gabriel is looking to find the right balance of emotion in sound and groove and to give space for floating lyricism. "Palindrome", "Luxury" and "Ich flog auf dem Wind davon" are groovy TechHouse songs and feature vocal performances with lyrics by his friends Ingo Ito and George DIN, who are both excellent musicians and writers.

The album opener "Palindrome" and as well "iGeorge" put the focus more on the groovy DubTechno beat, while "Traralgon Epilogue" with its string-layers and the dubs of "Science-Faction" refer more to atmospheric Detroit Techno.

"Luxury", "die andere Seite" and "Auf dem Wind davon" are shaping out the TechHouse side of the album, while "Twisted" continues invisibly the inevitable "french kiss" chord-stab syncopations that provide a pretty laidback techdub tune. The album ends with a the german-dubbed version of "Ich flog auf dem Wind davon". Gabriel sends us into suspense chillz and made a great beatless dub out of the tune.

Gabriel Le Mar draws inspiration from many sources. But african funk and african musical traditions and culture influenced him in many ways.

On JUMP CUTS Gabriel Le Mar cooperates again with singers and songwriters from South-Africa, after having worked in the past with the band Amampondo.

A true co-work from soul-dub-brother Gabriel Le Mar, fusing tech house and dub influences with the local style of south african music like Kwaito, Maskanda and traditional Zulu music into modern club sound.

The queen of modern Zulu music, legendary Busi Mhlongo with her distinctive voice, is chanting on this album.
Gabriel also co-opted with Lungiswa Plaatjies, Madala Kunene and Mantombe Matotiyani from Amampondo, one of Nelson Mandela`s favourite bands.

The result is a fusion of ideas that became evident through the characteristic expression of these artists, whose vocal performances oscillate between traditional to contemporary, and that are merged in the techhouse mix with a soul and dub feel.

"It is all about combining these styles, the physical energy of digital club and dancefloor sounds with hypnotic afro-rhythms and the vocal-power.
It`s about to push the musical styles and to find ways to intensifying our tracks both emotionally and meaningwise.
I worked with big respect for the ideas of the artists on one hand, and on the other side I focused on creating music for body and soul."

remixes from Motionfield, Octex, Max Cavalerra, Echonomist, Daniel Blonqvist, Subsonic Park, Das Kraftfuttermischwerk, P. Laoss, Veer and Marko Fürstenberg The remix album reflects on the story of Dubwize from different angles, as for each tune the original songs are deconstructed and thus mixed differently. Overall a the collection spans a wide range of moody remixes, from abstract excursions over functional floorkeepers and detached sentiences.
Featuring contributions from old and new Thinner collaborators, "Wize Dubs" is a collection of tracks of the "Dubwize" album by Gabriel Le Mar, released January 2009 on Thinner and tailored for the dub inspired clubber, combining different playful approaches of Dub with the functionality and stringency of techhouse music. This remix album reflects on the story of Dubwize from different angles, as for each tune the original songs are deconstructed and thus mixed differently. Overall a the collection spans a wide range of moody remixes, from abstract excursions over functional floorkeepers and detached sentiences.

The opening mixes by Octex and Daniel Blomqvist are quite experimental perspectives upon 'Dubster' and 'Motorace (Dub Mix), both dissolving and rearranging the elements of the original tracks by using shifting beats in a rather submerged dubstep corset. Following this comes the Nova Bluez Mix by Das Kraftfuttermischwerk, remixing Nova Bluez in a loungey environment, managing to provide aural satisfaction.

A string of functional mixes is opened by the mix of P. Laoss, rendering 'Seasonal Dub' into a deep, yet uplifting house version which ascends between the poles of sunken dub house and textural landscapes. Max Cavalerra, on the other hand, offers a more minimal technoid approach on 'Funkstern', which centers around a deep stab which gradually evolves into a tunnel.

With the remixes by The Echonomist and Subsonic Park the compilation goes deeper. The Echonomist goes back in time and builds his mix of 'Love Dub' on a groovy house chord sequence from previous days, while Subsonic Park offers a journey to a distant location somewhere between deep techhouse and dubtech.

Having arrived there Veer picks the listener up with his tracky, sequenced twirl of 'Seasonal Dub', which leaves enough headroom to unfold the funky blowers of the original. Afterwards Marko Fürstenberg launches a most gorgeous rocket to spaced out dubspheres with strong detroit reminiscences, where there is indeed 'Time For Everything' as indicated by Gabriel's original song. Finally, Motionfield lets us exhale with a natural ambient version of the beatless version of Dubster.

Echoes from Inside includes 9 fresh tracks, merging the deep atmosphere of dub tech and the soulful depth of deep house with the pumping grooves of loop based techhouse.
With 'Echoes From Inside', Subsonic Park (Alex Azary und Gabriel Le Mar) now present their second album, giving an update of their recent development, which is shaped by diverse feedback loops in the process of it's synthesis : In summer 2007 Subsonic Park again started to play and perform live and in clubs (with own areas as at top events like TimeWarp/Mannheim, Pollerwiesen/Koeln, or Merkwuerdigen Verhalten/Frankfurt, as well as with their residency at Cocoon Club Frankfurt), and went on up to 14 hours lasting audiovisual journeys with the excited crowds...

Inspired and driven by those experiences, Alex and Gabriel consequently developed their Subsonic Park sound by their deep and thriving mixes between deephouse, techhouse and dubtech and now expressed this progression on their new album echoes from inside.

The CD also contains the remixes by Brendon Moeller, Aku Aku and Quantum StarDub which have been released on vinyl beginning of June already and perfectly display the musical range of Subsonic Park. With their own remix of Nova Bluez (original feat. on Gabriel Le Mar's solo - album 'Dubwize' on Thinner), also one of the many remixes, Subsonic Park have done in the last year, is included.

With their remix 12" echoes from inside (remixes), Subsonic Park deliver a promising preview to their upcoming album.
With their mixes from DeepHouse to TechHouse and DubTech, and their own areas on events such as TimeWarp (Mannheim), Pollerwiesen (Cologne) or Merkwürdigen Verhalten... (Frankfurt), as well as their residency at Cocoon Club Frankfurt, Subsonic Park (Alex Azary and Gabriel Le Mar) consequently developped and shaped their own sound.

While working on their new Album 'Echoes From Inside' they sent out demomixes, loops and samples, getting the echoes from the inside of their lab to their fellow artists und DJs. The feedback was very inspiring and led to active exchange with new remixes, which have now been cut to vinyl for Subsonic Park’s new 12” 'Echoes From Inside Remixes'. The remixes represent Subsonic Parks musical spectrum and deliver a small preview to their upcoming album 'Echoes From Inside', due for release end of June.
Consequently, the 12" features a pushing DiscoDub remix of “Code Two” by one of the busiest N.Y. remixer and producer Brendon Moeller (aka Beat Pharmacy), as well as an uplifting TechHouse remix of 'Find U Tonight' by Aku Aku, one of Berlin's fresh and upcoming nu school producers.

Netherlands based dubtech producer Quantum StarDub delivers the digital bonus track with a timeless, atmosphaeric and floating DeepHouse remix of 'Zoologic' in an epic 11 minutes cut.

Thinner is going to release DUBWIZE, the new album of Gabriel Le Mar DubTechno meets Technodubs...
On his brandnew album "Dubwize" Le Mar offers 8 new tracks which are tailored for the dub inspired clubber, combining different playful approaches of Dubwith the functionality and stringency of techhouse music, without sounding like another Basic Channel epigone, but rather to focus on an own approach with different methods and results. Precisely this means that the length of an album context is used to tell a story: agile tracks like the opening "Dubster" mixes and the more minimal pounding "Love Dub" alternate with spheric minimal groovers like "Seasonal Dub" and "Time For Everything". Bridges are built by more minimal functional grooves like "Minitex" or "Nova Bluez" which give an opportunity to exhale. A perfect on-the-point production, "Dubwize" sounds refreshingly variable and discrete, caused by an uncoerced approach in the studio and conveyed by the input received by the creative exchange processes with his project partners and last but not least, the musical socialization which encompasses rich influences from King Tubby to Andy Stott is definitely a factor which helps Gabriel to stay refreshingly flexible.

Deep and floating grooves tuned to planetary frequencies new album on Fax +49-69/450464 (500 limited edition)
During his studies in Berlin in summer 1990 Gabriel heard about a street demo called love parade and joined this crazy gathering dancing in the streets...
Years later he met Dr. Motte, originator, multiversal artist and inventor of the love parade, and they took the decision to meet in studio for jams which took place in Frankfurt at Gab's Lab, where they celebrated a creative clash that is manifested in the album's seven tracks...

the result is a trip on the dance floor with deep, floating grooves and predominantly 4-2-4 beats on the first four tracks, while the last three tracks become an after hours party filled with deep, energetic, beatless grooves with a dubby atmosphere. At the beginning Motte introduced Gabriel to another special method of producing music, using a tonal scale that is based on the frequencies of the rotating planets from our solar system, because the rotation of the planets differ from each other along with gravitational principles.
For each track, they tuned their musical equipment to the corresponding planetary frequency of one of the planets in our solar system.
The earth's tuning, for example, is the 435.92 Hz 'G' tone.
