Dj gfunkgman, me, grows up obsessively immersed in the detroit techno party scene in London in the 90's. After: a move into the emmerging underground house scene bubbled up the pleasures of deep hypnosis and rude awakenings. So I started to DJ, moved to China & now HK, distilling a DIY aesthetic and a sense of discernable funk into my sets. This DJ splices up bits of off-kilter house, techno & disco composites into bouncy castles, or spreads elongated, hypnotic, percussive slabs of tech house into funky surfboards. This mixing I do is influenced by groove and abstraction, subtleness & wonkiness: above & below ground 80's pop funk bass lines, detroit techno, free jazz, rave, out there electronica & the real minimal scene from the 90's. Keep it eclectic & surreal!
