home base in the German metropolitan Mannheim where
the legendary techno festival “Time Warp” and one of
Germany’s leading clubs, the “Loft” are based.
These surrounding venues are maybe one of the reasons
why the musical passion of Gorkiz leads to the foundation
of the first label imprint called “This Beat Records” back in
2004 where his partners 5ol3r and Rodrigo Baron Wahl
are also actively involved.
With a fine mixture of shuffling groove programming and
deep tech house elements Gorkiz supports 5ol3r and Alex Koen
worldwide success. However since summer of 2008 he
also finds enough time to produce records under his own
moniker and high profiled record labels as Alex Koen.
