Our grasshopper is a herbivorous arthropod of the suborder caelifera in the order straight winged insects (orthoptera). His colour is diverse and the antenae are quite fancy. Other species that devastate meadows, change colour and behavior at high population densities are called locusts, but he is not amongst them. His favourite pastime activity is to produce sound (known as "stridulation") by rubbing his wings against each other usually sitting on a blade of grass during hot summer afternoons. It’s miraculous and invites the audience to a journey inwards.

This funny little insect is called Grasshop and works as a DJ, promoter, journalist and editor by his self-established magazine.

He played around every bits and parts of his habitat and managed to visit the neighbouring meadows too… he is glad for his tiny existence.

Grasshop formed Breakbeat.hu, the official site for the hungarian scene in 2001 which offers event information, a calendar for promoters to discuss upcoming plans, downloadable mixes, news and record reviews which has a great impression on forming the scene. - http://www.breakbeat.hu

In 2002 he began to promote parties: started a clubnight and promotions agency called Hypnosis for the like-minded bugs in Budapest. The main phylosophy became creativity and a focus on astounding new ideas. It wasn’t just a plain marketing plan, but caused storming of ideas like the Country Connection series, a clubnight offerning unique introduction possibilities for up and coming djs/producers from around the country, then Blast From The Past, a retrospective party series for scene veterans being able to show off the classics of their collection.

Lately he is working on Hypnosis Puppet Company, which is a complex audio-visual performance consisting of 3 main elements: puppeting, visuals and electronic music live act. The premier has been a great success and this is just the beginning… http://www.hypnosis.hu
