Italic is a bit of a dark horse in the running in the dance music scene, representing an unorthodox method of supplying beats to the
public. She chooses to not to compete with the traditional type dj, by mixing her styles to offer a unique set that is unmatched by
others. In general, she can be labelled a breaks dj, but in reality, she uses tracks from a broad range of styles from house to techno, electro and some progressive as well as the predominant breaks.

In keeping with her underground approach, she sticks to slower tempos, giving the audience more opportunity to appreciate each beat as it goes by and get in to a groovier rhythm. She sticks mostly to
back rooms affording her a more intimate setting with which to interact with the crowd. Often she can be found wearing odd clothing
(subject to interpretation) and would rather be caught dead than wear the same outfit twice.

She started djing as a outside interest about 6 years ago, in order to prove that what guys can do, girls can also do, and ometimes do better, but also because of a rising passion for music that broke conventional rules.

Italic has played at a wide variety of gigs, every single one of which she has had a fantastic time at. "No gig too small or too big
or too out of the way to have fun at. Everyone appreciates music presented well, even if their understanding of the music is limited."

One day, she'll get around to making music and becoming a rock star.
