When two best friends share a life-consuming passion, you could simply call it ‘luck’. However, if you combine this passion or luck with inspiration, creativity, irrepressible talent and a lot of laughs, then something truly special can arise.
Deep within Germany, in a town called Offenbach (which is located in a European heartland of classy, modern house music which has nurtured some of today’s most exciting new names), two more talents come together to create one fantastic act. Marc Phillip and Florian Settele are the wonderfully named Jacuzzi Boys.
Having DJ’d together for a number of years, Jacuzzi Boys’ initial forays into production were instantly noticed in the Frankfurt area, itself no small feat given the amount of locally based, worldwide known producers. By the end of Year 1, their work appeared on staple German labels levelNONzero, OFF and Below as well as their debut EP on the mighty Cécille, creating their new reputation as another Am-Main force to be reckoned with.
Capable of bringing high-octane classic house beats, dark grooves or more mellow sounds, and often with enough jack to bring any happening party to its knees, the pair have already debuted at several of Europe’s most coveted venues, including Watergate, Fabric and Cocoon, playing at Sven Vath’s recent birthday party. |
