Jake's new solo outing is a lo-fi, live take on techno taking in influences from across the electronic spectrum. Scottish producer don Alex Smoke described his new EP as "unusual and really effective" and it's already getting nods from a wide range of forward thinking DJs. No stranger to the live environment, he is taking it to the clubs - the set involves manipulating chopped up loops of his and others' tracks alongside a drum machine, bass synth, FX and the odd twisted vocal snippet. Recent gigs, including Edinburgh, Glasgow and London's new high-profile electronic night Balance, have been met with a rapturous response.
