The third release of Shifted House Records is a catchy song from Jan van Damm. The track delivers real summer feelings with its pushing percussive sound, a big bassline and a melodic synth on top. Its a must have for all Djs who want to celebrate this great summer....

This EP gets support from Umek, Dubfire, Pete Tong, Erick Morillo, M.a.n.d.y., Harry Avers, Tom Wax, Makossa, Brendon Moeller, Dj Meza, JB, Zak Frost, Anderson Noise and many more.
Munich’s Jan van Damm follows up ‘Everyday Feeling EP’, the first release on his own Shifted House Records (SHR) with his latest EP, ‘Release That Seat’. It features two more original cuts from Jan, plus a remix from fellow Münchner, Felix Lupus.

The EP launches us straight onto the dance floor from the first cut. ‘Outpost’ is a fine tech house workout that builds its way through the groove, while ‘Release That Seat’ turns the dark funk up a notch.

Felix Lupus’ production debut on Berlin label Shadybrain, back in 2006, became a no.1 download for four weeks on Beatport and since then he has continued to destroy dance floors with more releases for Shadybrain, as well as Antiritmo and now SHR. His energetic remix of ‘Release That Seat’ completes the EP.

The ‘Everyday Feeling EP’ is a colourful three tracker showing the versatile possibilities of Tech House from the minimalistic but also powerful, ‘In Control’ where stomping beats accompany a funky organ stab to keep the party moving. To ‘Spooky’, noticeable through a pumping deep stab arrangement and pumping house beats. To finally, ‘Everyday Feeling’ that provides a different approach to the Tech House sound with a deep melodic pad and short vocal, over a funkin' beat. Release Date:24.02.2011
